2008 Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Fest

Oggy the Friendly Dragon, Jack in the Box and Pandy the Panda have left Canton and the 2008 Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Fest. The Good Samaritan Center want to thank everyone involved in the festival for their support and four days of fun. We hope to see you again next year.

canton_mpc350×222.jpgDozens of hot air balloons will lead a fun-filled weekend for children and adults of all ages. The three-day event will include four competitive balloon races, two spectacular balloon glows, two incredible firework presentations, Special Shape Fiesta, children’s activities, great food, and great entertainment.

The City of Canton Parks and Recreation in collaboration with the Mid-Mississippi Balloon Association and The Good Samaritan Center Inc., invite you to the 22nd Annual Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Race and Festival.

The Festival is fund-raiser for the Good Samaritan Center Inc. If you would like to be involved in this event as a volunteer or as sponsor please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Join us on the Square in Canton at the old Trolio Hotel for a night of fun to kick-off the Balloon Fest with a “Launch Party.” Held in conjunction with Canton’s First Thursday Art & Antique Walk, this fun block party will feature balloons on the Square, Music, Food and Shopping.

The Ridgeland Balloon Glow and fireworks will be held at Northpark Mall on Friday night, July 4th.

The Canton Balloon Glow, Fireworks and Special Shape Fiesta will be held at the Canton Multi Purpose Center on Saturday night, July 5th.
