The three-day event will include several competitive balloon races and fun flights, three spectacular balloon glows, two incredible firework presentations, children’s activities, great food, and great entertainment.
The City of Canton Parks and Recreation in collaboration with Canton Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Mid-Mississippi Balloon Association and The Good Samaritan Center, invite you to the 27th Annual Mississippi Championship Hot Air Balloon Race and Festival.
The Celebrate America Balloon Glow and fireworks will be held in Ridgeland at Northpark Mall on Thursday night, July 4th.
The Inaugural Balloon Chase Run Walk, complete with a post race Balloon Glow will be held at the Canton Multi Purpose Center on Friday night, July 5th.
The Canton Balloon Glow & Patriotic Fireworks Spectacular will be held at the Canton Multi Purpose Center on Saturday night, July 6th.
Take part in The Good Samaritan Center’s, 4th Annual Golf Ball Drop!
What’s a Golf Ball Drop and how does it work? First, you have to buy a ball (all will be numbered up to 1000). Then at the festival a hot air balloon will take the balls up in air and drop all of the balls onto the balloon glow field. The closest ball to the target or hole will win $2,000! Simple as that.
You do not have to be present to win!
Tickets are now available for purchase online.
The Inaugural Balloon Chase consists of an un-timed 4 Mile Run, 2 Mile Walk or Kids One Mile Fun Run complete with Hot Air Balloons on Friday Evening of July 5th.
Participants receive an awesome t-shirt, inaugural medal, a post-race dinner and the opportunity to meet hot air balloon pilots at a special Balloon Glow. For more info visit our Run/Walk Page and Register Now!
